Fred Martin, M.S.
Fred Martin was born in Rochester, New York and educated at Hobart College in Geneva, New York. He entered extended active duty with the Air Force and served as an Air Weapons Controller and Electronic Counter-Countermeasures Officer. His final assignment was as Senior Engineer in the Joint Surveillance and Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS) Joint Program Office. Fred received his M.S. in Systems management from what is now the Viterbi Institute at the University of Southern California in 1972. After leaving the service, Fred worked for the Analytic Services Company (ANSER) at the Pentagon as Chief of the Munitions Export License Analysis Team. Retiring from ANSER at the end of 1999, Fred moved to Merritt Island, Florida to work for the Kennedy Space Center Export Administrator. Subsequently, we was the (export) Empowered Official for EADS Military Systems, Space Gateway Support, United Space Alliance, and DynCorp International. Fred retired in 2013. He is an Associate Fellow of AIAA and a member of SAME. He is active in Rotary, especially on his club’s water, sanitation, and hygiene project in Honduras. He serves the Space Coast Florida Professional Chapter of EWB-USA as its Treasurer.
